nice to meet you !

from my home to yours

Every piece of ushki is handmade by me in my home. I believe that because our pets are entirely unique, they deserve something truly special for the short time we have the luck to share in each other’s lives.

There are no mass-production lines here—just a sewing machine, a collection of unique fabrics gathered from a passionate treasure hunt, and a deep-rooted love for giving the past a new life (and a healthy dose of nostalgia).

you are the author

While I find the fabric and stitch the seams, I am only the curator of the materials. The real story begins the moment a piece leaves my home and enters yours.

It becomes a part of your morning walks, your quiet afternoons, and the singular bond you share with your companion. I am here to provide the threads; you and your pet are here to write the chapters.

behind the seams

I’ve always been a creative soul. My studies were in Art History and Visual Arts, but eventually, the corporate life found me. Still, I’m the kind of person who simply cannot not have a project, usually multiple at once. Whether it’s learning how to build a website, redesigning my home, building, re-upholstering, or painting, I can’t sit still. I am slowly discovering that taking care of your home is just the adult way of crafting, but that’s an expensive type of craft and my wallet is not a fan.

I’m a deeply nostalgic person and I love collecting antique and vintage items. I really need to stop with the English fine bone china—there is officially no space left. But then again, if I just move a few things around...

my personal zoo

My home is run by a small, chaotic zoo that I’m lucky enough to call my babies. There’s Rocco, my Boxer who is likely half-kangaroo and has absolutely no concept of personal space. There is Shawty, the fluffiest and most beautiful kitty in the world (I am entirely unbiased, I swear), and Gustav (mostly known as Gugu), my senior loud-purrer cuddler.

they’re"cool" scarves

After making a few unique pieces for Rocco, I realized these were too good not to share with the world. This has become my creative escape from corporate hours: me, my sewing machine, and a lot of nostalgia, creating treasures for your pets.

Because I also have absolutely no patience for undoing knots, I came up with a buckle system so you don't have to suffer, either. It’s great for bigger dogs who already wear a harness. Instead of stacking a bulky collar on top of all that gear, the scarf’s metal buckles allow it to become the collar. It’s a cleaner look, and it’s a perfectly secure spot for their medallions to live.

I wish with all my heart that you enjoy these as much as I loved making them. Send me a picture of your babies and I am so grateful for you supporting my little local business!
